“He who acknowledges the strength of others, is a step closer towards becoming strong himself…”
– Maddagedon Henry Perera (1921–2008)
There is strength; there is superhuman strength; and then there is the absolute pinnacle of superhuman strength! Welcome to Strength Record, where we acknowledge that ‘absolute pinnacle’. Strength Record is the world’s first and only online source dedicated to recognize the world records across all strength sports.
For a feat of strength to be declared a world record, it must be ‘MEASURABLE’, ‘CATEGORIZABLE’ and ‘VERIFIABLE’.
Out of the 8.21 billion people in the world, the performance should be the best in a particular lift or event. These are known as absolute world records or all-time world records.
Some sports also categorize records by weight classes based on performance relative to body weight. These are known as weight class records or pound-for-pound records.
In most cases, a world record is held by a single athlete. These are known as outright records.
In some cases, a record can be shared by two or more athletes. These are known as shared records.
Securing a place in Strength Record with a single world record is already a remarkable achievement. However, throughout history, some extraordinary athletes have shattered multiple world records. Strength Record honours the most prolific record breakers of all time across all strength sports, and the ‘Pantheon’ is reserved exclusively for them.
